Postby kmcam » Wed Jan 14, 2015 11:17 pm

Hi, pleased to meet you all. I am the mother of a transgender teen, he only came out before Christmas. I only want to support my child and help him in every way I can on this journey. He's only 13. Look forward to meeting new friends here.

Welcome Karen, parents like you are few and far between,
Before you judge somebody, walk a mile in their shoes,
After that,Who cares?
They're a mile away and you've got their shoes......

Very lucky child to have such an understanding mother. Any questions, don't be afraid to ask.
Good luck with that.

Thank you Cherylwalsh3! I couldn't be any other way! I'm so proud he had the courage to tell me. I can't understand small minded people that judge others, its beyond me. We have had the pleasure to meet the kindest people, and had tremendous support from BElong too. I'm here to help and support anyone that needs it. What goes around.

Hi Kmcam,

Ive just found this forum today. My daughter is 13. She told me about a year ago that she's a lesbian. A few months ago she told me she's gender fluid. She feels like a boy most of the time. I won't lie, I'm finding it hard to deal with, but she knows she has my support all the way. As long as she's happy. Can I ask how things are now a year down the line?
